ASIAN DEVELOPMENT BANK PRESIDENT VISIT TO SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AND SERVICE DELIVERY CENTRE IN DUSHANBE

On March 4, 2026, Asian Development Bank President Masato Kanda visited the Job & Migration Service Center in Dushanbe as part of his visit to the Republic of Tajikistan. The Center was also visited by the Minister of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Honorable Solekha Kholmahmadzoda, and the Chairperson of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sulton Rahimzoda, along with guests. The President was accompanied by Ms. Lea Gutierrez, Director General of ADB's Central and West Asia Department, Ko Sakomoto, ADB Country Director for Tajikistan, and other officials. During his visit to the Center, the President was introduced to the classrooms and workshops, their facilities, the practical training process, and also interacted with the trainees. In particular, in the "Guide" professional class, Mr. Kanda noted that he enjoyed observing the majestic mountains of our country during the flight. Masato Kanda also spoke about the beautiful views of our country.
The President also tested his skills with welding software and competed with trainees in the plastering workshop. Overall, Mr. Kanda expressed satisfaction with his visit to the Center and wished the trainees success in their professional training, as well as unprecedented progress for the project and center staff.
