COMPETENCY-BASED TRAINING METHODOLOGY

Competency-based training methodology (CBT) is an innovative methodology, high-quality preparation of working specialists for labor activity by acquiring the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities, i.e. it provides the necessary competence in working conditions to perform tasks and solve problems in standard situations and changing conditions. This methodology forms a responsible attitude to employees for quality work performance. According to the CBT methodology, serious importance is given to the totality of knowledge, skills, abilities, and attitudes during the training of the employees.

The CBT methodology is based on professional competence standards, and the standards are developed with the direct participation of employers, industry associations, and relevant ministries and agencies. The participation of employers in the process of developing competency standards, curriculum and training materials, assessment tools, and training of workers is the main requirement of the given methodology. The final result of the implementation of the CBT methodology is the provision of a flexible system of training competitive personnel, focused on the demand of the labor market, and guaranteeing the quality of training of labor personnel.
