Skills and Employability Enhancement Project

TAJIKISTAN WILL HOST AN INTERNATIONAL SKILLS FORUM

                                                     
The International Skills Forum "Tajikistan 2026" will be held as part of the "Skills and Employability Enhancement Project" of the Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan. The international event is scheduled for May 28-29, 2026, at the Job  Center in the Dangara district of Khatlon Region. The forum is organized and will be held with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to showc the professional skills of the country's citizens, share international experience, and strengthen regional and international cooperation within the framework of the "Skills and Employability Enhancement Project". It should be noted that the "Skills and Employability Enhancement Project" project is being implemented with the aim of developing professional skills and creating employment opportunities for citizens of the country based on grant agreements between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Asian Development Bank under the Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan. As part of the project, Migration service centers have been established in the cities of Khujand, Bokhtar, and the Vose district, and modern Job centers have been established in Dushanbe, Rogun, and the Dangara district. Using competency-based training methodology, these centers offer short-term courses, recognition of professional competences, and development of professional skills in 20 priority professions in the energy, construction, tourism, and agricultural sectors. Representatives of primary and secondary vocational educational institutions from the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, the People's Republic of China, the Republic of Turkey, and the Federal Republic of Germany are participating in the forum. Representatives of government agencies, regional and international organizations, and industry experts will also attend the event. Competitions will be held in the following professions: Electrician, Plumber, Gas and Electric Welder, and Solar Energy Equipment Installer. In accordance with the forum's action plan, interns and young professionals (aged 17-35) will participate in the competition in selected professions. The Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan invites development partners, experts, investors, students, and anyone interested in developing professional skills to the forum.
