TRAINING ON THE TOPIC "ENHANCING KNOWLEDGE ABOUT COMPETENCY STANDARDS"
On December 2nd and 3rd, 2022, a two-day training session on the topic "Enhancing Competency Standards Development" took place in the training room of the Project Administration Group. This training was designed for competency and training material standards developers as part of the Skills and Employability Enhancement Project.
In the course of this study, the head of the consultant group, an international consultant specializing in skill development, provided insights into topics and introduced the concept of competency-based teaching methods. The training covered the processes and principles underlying competency-based approaches, the development of standards, regional standard types within the International Labor Organization framework, the alignment of standards according to various system levels (professional, occupational, competency, and skills), as well as the methodology and procedures for creating standards, both professional and competency-based, including functional and professional analyses.
Participants of the seminar engaged in knowledge exchange with the speakers, enhanced their expertise on the aforementioned subjects, and shared experiences from other countries.
