WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE PROJECT, ADOPTING OF CLASSIFICATION OF OCCUPATIONS OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN IS PERFORMED ON THE BASIS OF THE (ISCO-08).

Along with other countries of the world the Republic of Tajikistan on the basis of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On training specialist based on demand of the labor market” established the National System of Qualifications, which is necessary for the entry of Tajikistan into the single international system of qualifications and, in this context, based on International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO-08) lays the legal basis for the development and approval of the Classification of Occupations of the Republic of Tajikistan (CORT), as well as revision and implementation/adaptation of CORT.
In this legal framework and within the framework of international obligations of the Republic of Tajikistan as a full member of the UN within the scope of “Skills and Employability Enhancement Project” the issues related to the review, implementation/adaptation of CORT are provided. Along with the renewal of the Classification of Occupations of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Register of Approved Qualifications, it discusses issues occurring in various spheres of economy and social life of the Republic. It also involves their implementation and adaptation, the organization of digital data and the introduction of the digital base of CORT into the existing digital base system of the Ministry of labor, migration and employment of the Republic of Tajikistan.
A necessary condition for entering the labor market during the period of industrialization (rapid industrialization) is to receive professional education in educational institutions of the primary vocational education system, and by receiving it, to get a job, to improve skills within the prescribed time limits, and to achieve higher professional positions. It was with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Asian Development Bank that the implementation of this initiative became possible.
Thus, on the basis of ISCO-08 the implementation and adaptation of the Classification of Occupations of the Republic of Tajikistan and the formation of the Register of occupations will provide a favorable basis for citizens to become entrepreneurs and recognize their qualifications in the domestic and foreign labor market.
