A TWO-DAY WEBINAR ON GENDER BY THE ASIAN DEVELOPMENT BANK

On March 9-10, 2022 the Asian Development Bank organized a two-day webinar on “Investing Women: Advancing a Transformative Gender Agenda in Central and Western Asia in a Post-COVID-19 Environment” with the participation of international experts on gender issues.

In this webinar project employees also participated and learned about the experience of the Asian Development Bank investing in women in the countries of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Tajikistan, and learned about the negative impact of COVID-19 on the economy and the activities of women and girls in that period. It should be noted that during the webinar, issues of reducing the unemployment rate among women and girls were discussed by attracting them to training in professions and crafts, their investments in new economic conditions after coronavirus and orientation of activities to remote activities.
