     SMALL-SCALE FARM MANAGER

    The Republic of Tajikistan is a sunny country with a climate suitable for agriculture and farming. Its favorable climate allows for the harvesting of crops up to three times a year. The taste of fresh fruits and vegetables from Tajikistan is renowned worldwide, and the abundance of agricultural products is the result of the hard work of farmers and growers. The role of a farm manager is especially crucial in farm management.

    A small-scale farm manager performs a series of functions and tasks that require a specific set of competencies.

   A small-scale farm manager is responsible for overseeing market activities and production to meet market demand. They create schedules, develop and manage budgets, monitor production and expenses, and document information related to agricultural management practices, as well as financial and operational reports. Conducts negotiations with buyers on organizing the sale of fruits and vegetables with farmers and buyers. They provide agricultural machinery, equipment, and consumables. They identify environmental toxins, weeds, pests, diseases, and combat them. They organize greenhouses, storage facilities for fruit and vegetable crops, and provide water supply systems and equipment. In doing so, they select farm workers, supervise their work, and help improve their professional qualifications. Both women and men have equal rights to pursue this profession and work in this position.

   In order to prepare professionals who meet labor market requirements, competent experts, and those who conform to international standards, a Competency Standard for the occupation of Small-Scale Farm Manager has been developed within the framework of the Skills and Employability Enhancement Project.
