SEMINAR ON ISCO-08

On November 1-2, 2023, a seminar on the topic “Theory and Practice of ISCO-08 and the Implementation of the Classification of Occupations of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Nomenclature of Occupations” was held in the city of Khujand, Sughd region, with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan - Davlatzoda K. It was held for representatives of relevant ministries and departments of the republic, the Union of Employers of Tajikistan, the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan, members of industry working groups. This seminar included presentations on theoretical and practical aspects of the International Standard Classification of Occupations-2008 (ISCO-08/ISCO-08): the need to form a national qualifications system, the goals and objectives of the Classification of Occupations of the Republic of Tajikistan (ISCO-08), the use of ISCO-08 symbols and the National Qualifications Framework in the development and implementation of materials within the framework of competency-based teaching methods, the need to form and the role of the Nomenclature of Occupations (NO) in the implementation of the NQF and its use in various areas of the national economy, regarding gender aspects in industry activities, as well as regarding the role of assessing the labor market of Tajikistan in developing the prospects for key macroeconomic indicators by specialists of the Management Group of the Project "Skills and Employability Enhancement Project". It should be noted that the participants actively discussed the issues of group work and presented their findings to others.
