SEMINAR ON ISCO-08

On December 4-5 and 6-7, 2023, the final seminar "Theory and Practice of ISCO-08 and the Implementation of the Classification of Occupations of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Nomenclature of Occupations" was held for representatives of relevant ministries and departments of the Republic of Tajikistan. Republic, the Union of Employers of Tajikistan, the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan, members of industry working groups from cities and districts of the republic.
During the seminar, the participants were given instructions on the theoretical and practical aspects of the International Standard Classification of Occupations-2008 (ISCO-08/ISCO-08): the need to develop a national qualifications system, goals and objectives. The Classification of Professions of the Republic of Tajikistan (ISCO-08), the use of ISCO-08 and NQFT codes in the development and implementation of materials within the framework of competency-based teaching methods, the need for the formation and role of the Nomenclature of Professions (NP) for the implementation of NQFT and its use in various sectors of the national economy, on gender aspects in industry activities, as well as on the Role of assessing the labor market of Tajikistan in developing the prospects for key macroeconomic indicators were presented by the Project specialists. It is worth noting that during the practical work, the participants coded and classified professions in various fields according to the International Standard for the Classification of Professions. They also discussed and presented to each other the issue of gender sensitivity in the selection of employees.
